The 2023 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series presents Vox Sambou with opening group Sounds of the Sub-Sahara on Friday, June 9 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex.

The performance is free. Please bring your chairs and blankets. Food is available from That One Jerk Spot, Big Lee’s – Serious About Barbecue, and Kona Ice Ocala. Fun field games and activities with the Ocala Recreation and Parks recreation vehicle.

Each concert in the series features a local non-profit organization working to create art accessibility in our community; tonight’s featured non-profit is the MLK Commission.

HEADLINING ARTIST: Vox Sambou

Vox Sambou is an artist/songwriter, MC, poet, and multilingual performer who writes in Creole, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Born in Haiti, Vox Sambou has been writing and performing since age 14. His music focuses on the traditional rhythms of Haiti mixed with elements of Afrobeat, Jazz, Reggae, and Hip-Hop. He’s been called “The Eternal Voice of Haiti.”
